blue trackpoint caps

are there BLUE trackpoint caps for the T42p laptops. I saw it on an older IBM laptop and i was wondering if they fit on the T series......Bill probably has the answer to this one

my, what a bargain..

reason is they make so little for each pack of two they MUST overcharge for those things..

try a set and let me know how they work..

several years ago, they sent me a sample..
it must have been a defective one..
did not fit.. fell off when i tried to use it..

Last week I ordered 'two' from sofpoint, and what I got was two packages. Each package had four caps.

The one I pulled out fits very well, and has a nice feel to it. If given a choice between these and the IBM caps that come with the thinkpad, I would pick these.

Good thing too, because now I've got a 5-year supply.

Do they rub up against the screen when the lid is closed? The picture they show on the website looks like it sticks out a good bit.

i bought 18 caps from IBM aand 3 came iwth my IBAm and I doubt I'll have more than 6 years of caps

yes, i do go to UCI, but i did not get my laptop from the UCI Computer Store. I got it through the American Express discount program which was cheaper than the bookstore prices.
