WTB system restore disks for T42P

#1 Post by boris » Fri Aug 15, 2008 11:50 pm

I need the system restore disks for a T42. I tried the T41 disks and they didn't work. The T41 restore disks worked on my wife's T40 with a little coaxing.

I can trade for T42 disks.

Send TPCollector a PM. He was advertising them a while ago on this forum and sent me a set.

I've never owned any T4x recover CDs, but that sounds a little strange because as far as I know the T41-T42 parts are completely interchangeable. I know there were different CPU options, but those were interchangeable too. It would seem that the Recovery CDs for one would work for the other... but what do I know! :D

I think you're right. The problem doesn't appear to be with my disks, but I have found it doesn't recognize any hard drive I've put in there-even ones with IBM T4X/Windows OS.
