#1 Post by sparta.rising » Mon Aug 18, 2008 1:01 am

This is not my sale, but it seemed like a good deal and I know there are forum members in Massachusetts area, so I figured I'd point it out.

http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/sys/801270915.html

From the ad:

60 GB Hard Drive
CD-RW/DVD-ROM
14.1 Inch Screen
10/100 ethernet port
Windows XP Pro
Finger Print Reader
Sound
Integrated Video
External Wireless Card
BlueTooth capable

Its not my sale so don't ask me questions!

That's an insane deal... in fact, it's too good to be true, methinks.

No, the buttons are for the T60. But a basic model, aside from the RAM update and finger reader. Off-warranty is a big minus. But if it's indeed in mint condition as claimed, then it's a fairly good deal I think.

I could tell from the first photo that it is T6x. Both of the screen hinges on a T6x are about 1/2" wide, on t4x, the right-hand hinge is much narrower.

Seems legit enough. Most scammer on craigslist (based on my experience, anyways) usually only copy and paste the specs from somewhere else and never write anything about the condition of the laptop or the reason for selling.

The easiest give away for a craigslist spammer is the location. For some reason there are a huge number that list as either Beijing or Xaiho (or random letters). OR they do the location as the full region, not the individual region "Boston/Cambridge/Brookline" or "North Shore" etc... no one actually from around here would list their location that way.
