what do you use most?

and what do you feel makes your computer the slowest?

id say firefox is a good resource hogger somtimes mines up to 600,000kb darn thing lol its the second most hogging program and uses more mem then PS!

i do have like 30 tabs open but that's besides the point im also doing 2HDR images

Yeah, when I had Firefox 2 it used to do that as well. Now with Firefox 3 it's at only 183M, even though it's been running for a couple weeks.

overall seems better behaved. does have some quirks of its own though.

I don't find FF (2) to be that bad... usually less than 100MB, but PS can use 300MB+. Guess it depends on the number of tabs (I usually have 3 max) and other factors... ??

As for CPU usage, about 20% for FF playing a video off youtube full screen at 1280 x 1024. That's about the worst, except for when I'm scanning a 35mm color slide (then it's about 50%).

gosh not many use there cpu to the max mines usualy maxed out at all times and its overclocked

i was running FF3 and its just as hoggy as FF2 the most my cpu is used is video encoding or HDR image encoding thats about the most used that i know makes my pc's slow down

playing crysis HMMMMMMMM thats a good user of all things lol

Live For Speed also uses alot of CPU

and what do you feel makes your computer the slowest?

GNS3&Dynamips; usually >1GB RAM occupied (topology dependent - more routers, more memory) and a lot of CPU power. I could say that my actual computer (see sig) reaches its limits with this application.
