Battery 1% and won't charge

Hello everyone!

I bought a replacement battery (not genuine IBM) for my T41 around 1 mth ago. Was taking care of it, leaving aside being 40% charged, etc.

Today I plugged it in with a view to charging it and it shows 1% of charge and 48 hours to charge completion. When I put the previous, old battery everything is fine, so it's definetely an issue with the battery (the new one). Can anyone recommend anything??

Likewise suggest trying for money back.

Doing some checking on Ebay and currently there are a few genuine ones on there, like:

Both well priced.

you can also post a "wtb" in our marketplace subforum. i'd spend $ here over ebay any day of the week and twice on sunday.

I bought one for the T41p last year -or was it the year before..., from www.laptopsandspares.com located somewhere in UK. Battery still seems OK. Probably costs more than ebay, but less than Lenovo.

Everything's allright! The battery wasn't used for almost 2 weeks. I put it back to the laptop and plugged the mains in. After about an hour it started charging. How come? No clue
