Half screen video on T61

On a friends 6465-CTO, she only has half of the screen showing. She can reset the resolution but it reboots with the same half screen problem. 1200 x 800 is what it reset's to. She says:

When I go to control panel and look in system then hardware then device manager and right click on display adapters and select properties, a box comes up that says Display Adapters and there's a little icon like of a computer and there is nothing else in that box. Now if within device manager I double click display adapters I get Mobile Intel 965 Chipset Family listed twice. If I double click on The top one says Location: PCI bus 0, device 2, function 0, The bottom one for Location says PCI bus 0, device 2, function 1. Now both of those say they are working properly.
