Card #1: FRU 93P3483
Card #2 Appears to be non IBM OEM. Labeled as PRO/Wireless 2200B/G
One card came from an X23, the other from a T41. Both were working fine (for 2200 B/G cards).
I'll take one with an IBM FRU number on....
Thanks,
Ron

Still have some available. When they're gone I'll add "Sold" to the title.cadman wrote:Is there an off chance you still have the FRU 91P7301 (Atheros/Philips A/B/G) ??? I'm in need of one.

Another forum member informed me that certain X41t and T43 models may throw out an "incompatible card" error because these are not original to those machines. No problems with T42, X40 and older machines.GlynH wrote:Excuse my ignorance but will any of the cards you have left fit a T43 Type 2668-41G please?
If not could I be so cheeky as to ask if you know the part number or FRU of the card that will fit please?![]()
Thanks & regards,

The one you are looking for is probably 93P4262.

Re: FS: Wireless Cards - FRU 91P7301 (Atheros/Philips A/B/G)
Pardon the basic questions, but
is the above card an internal, does it work on a T40 which has internal wifi (original card) and how about how long will it take the 1st time dis-assembler to install?
Edit: How does it's range compare to FRU 93P4262 which claims "The chipset itself supports Atheros eXtended Range (XR) technology...."
My main reasons for upgrading are longer range and compatibility, the current card is obsolete. Not too worried about hitting 108mb/s.
Ah... is there such a thing as an 802.11n capable card compatible with a T40, and is there any benefit to it for an individual user? I understand that -n in draft not final status.
thanks

Re: FS: Wireless Cards - FRU 91P7301 (Atheros/Philips A/B/G)
Thanks for bumping this thread. I've got a few of these left and they're just collecting dust. Clearance priced: $15 shipped within the US.
To answer your questions, the card is internal and works fine in a T40. You will have to remove the keyboard and palmrest. I'd probably budget 30minutes for the job if its your first time doing this. I don't know how the card compares to the newer extended range chips because I don't have any of those to compare to. The same for N cards. There are forum members that have tried N cards successfully, but I haven't tried myself. 802.11G is fast enough for what I do. Hopefully someone will step in and answer some those questions.
