Verizon WWAN Trial?

#1 Post by cxls » Tue Aug 26, 2008 1:32 pm

A while back I remember getting an email about a 30-60 day trial of Verizon WWAN service for ThinkPad users. Anyone remember how to get this and/or if it's still available? I have a built in WWAN card.

I have seen a 3 and 7 day trial. What I would do is start the Verizon Access Manager. This will do some configuring. When it is complete there may be a tab that says trial. If not just attempt to connect and you may be presented with this opportunity.

If you did a clean install you may need to download the Verizon program.

If you do the auto-signup thing you get a free 7 day trial.

Note that, on my T400, it did not work out of the box. I had to download the latest VZAccess Manager from vzam.net.
