I've been running TPFC on manual "4" which does a good job except when my wife or on the kids reboots it goes back into Smart mode and runs hotter then I'd like. Now if I'm not mistaken I can set the values with in the ini file to have the fan run a different speeds for higher temps, problem is I can't figure it out. The readme file and posts from users here show:
Level#0= 52°C -> Fan 0
Level#1= 58°C -> Fan 4
Level#2= 70°C -> Fan 7
But in my ini file I have this:
// Celsius: // Fahrenheit: (Level FAN 0>80 -> Fahrenheit)
Level=60 0 // Level=140 0
Level=65 1 // Level=150 1
Level=75 3 // Level=170 3
Level=80 6 // Level=177 6
Level=85 128 // Level=185 128
As you see not the same graph.
Is this the correct file I need to change to get my fan settings where I like and if so can change for example Level=60 0 to Level=40 1 so the fan will turn on at 40 degrees C to fan speed low??
Settings in TPFC?
I gave it a shot and it did as I hoped. Works as I wanted now, when it boots into "Smart" the fans turn on as I like, below is what I changed the settings too( I much rather a cool running TP vs. a quiet one
// Celsius: // Fahrenheit: (Level FAN 0>80 -> Fahrenheit)
Level=35 0 // Level=140 0
Level=40 1 // Level=150 1
Level=45 3 // Level=170 3
Level=50 6 // Level=177 6
Level=65 128 // Level=185 128
// Celsius: // Fahrenheit: (Level FAN 0>80 -> Fahrenheit)
Level=35 0 // Level=140 0
Level=40 1 // Level=150 1
Level=45 3 // Level=170 3
Level=50 6 // Level=177 6
Level=65 128 // Level=185 128
