SOLD: T43 SXGA+/2GB/60GB 7.2K/DVDR/BT/ABG/Finger/Yel. Lid!

#1 Post by underclocker » Wed Aug 27, 2008 4:50 pm

SOLD: Heavily upgraded and custom T43 in excellent condition. If you're looking for a fast and unique T43, this is it. Custom yellow LCD lid, high resolution LCD, 7.2K rpm hard drive, 2GB RAM, Bluetooth, DVD burner, ABG wifi.

*Picture links removed*

Every part is in excellent condition. There are four extremely minor cosmetic issues on this three year old machine that most probably would never notice, but I mention in the spirit of full disclosure; 1) barely noticeable small pressure scuff from keyboard on LCD, it's very small, 2) slight mark on palmrest near arrow key from too long a screw being used one time, hard to see, 3) 1/4" repaired hairline crack on left side of base, it's tiny, 4) less than 1/4" chip on back lid edge near hinge, not noticeable at all, I just know it's there because I installed the lid. The machine looks new.

Also, I swapped out the IBM decals on the palmrest and cover for new style Lenovo decals that are say ThinkPad T-Series. I will include the original IBM color decals and one Lamborghini hood-style decal with the machine.

$475 delivered in U.S. (includes insurance).

You guys have great memories. This is a second yellow T4x lid. Metalfaceplates made up another lid for me because the first one came out with a little bit too much orange peel effect. This one has a great, very consistent finish.

I sold my yellow T40 on eBay, about a year ago or so. A woman bought it for her daughter who was about to start her first semester in college - yellow was her favorite color - nice mom, nice gift!

I've had this T43 a while and I kept on upgrading it and the yellow lid was the finishing touch. Now it's overupgraded for my needs as a backup machine, plus I have other project machines, too.

I did put a Lamborghini hood type decal on the yellow T40, I actually have a spare decal that I can include, too.

After dinner, I'll see if I can find some good light for the pictures.

One amazing ThinkPad! Now if I could only locate an inexpensive Miura P400 to go with it...

Best of luck with the sale.
