WTB: Battery for T61 + AC adapter for 8891CTO

#1 Post by BradS » Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:00 pm

Hey guys, really in a tought spot right now. The battery on my T61 conked out a few months ago and is giving me an irrepairable battery message. Thats fine though as I've still been able to use the laptop as long as its plugged in. As of last night my AC adapter is no longer working, seems to be a problem with the connection arond the area cord of cord that plugs into the laptop. I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here trying to get my laptop up and running before this semester starts, so before I order direct from Lenovo, is there anyone out there with a slightly used T61 battery or even better, a used 90W adapter for sale?

This is an 8891CTO T61, with the 14" SXGA+ screen.

Thanks
Brad

I know this won't do any good in the short-term, But there is a battery recall for "irreparable damage error". Check the Lenovo support page to see if your battery is covered.

Thanks Scott, I've tried that. Unfortunitally this is not one of the recalled batteries (although maybe it should be!).
