Dead T41

#1 Post by tallguy » Sat Aug 30, 2008 10:47 am

My T41 is totally dead. :(

The charging light isn't on although plugged in. The battery life has been miserably bad, but it always charged and worked fine on AC. Is it possible that the battery failed and now won't work on AC, or should it still work on AC?

I'm going to try a different AC charger and battery - I know someone who has a similar IBM and hopefully it uses the same battery and charger.

What's the likely cause/fix?

hi,

try disconnect battery and try to run it on AC alone, it should work.
maybe battery goes dead and it's making shortcut.
if it run on AC without battery, this mean above, if not, AC adapter or mobo can be broken, then best think you can do is try another AC adapter and check fuses on mobo around AC socket.
