SOLD: 14" UXGA upgrade kit (Thinkpad T4? XGA/SXGA ->

#1 Post by osse99 » Sat Aug 30, 2008 10:55 am

Selling a UXGA LCD panel and a UXGA cable which can be used to upgrade a XGA/SXGA 14" thinkpad to UXGA, see threads in the forums for more info.

I bought the components before the computer and ended up with a 15" UXGA T43p so i don't have any use for them.

LCD: Sharp UXGA 14,1" LQ141U1LH02 "as new"
Cable: IBM UXGA IPS FRU 91P6893 "new"

Location: Europe but will ship worldwide
Payment: Paypal preferred

Price 150$ or highest bid!

Before someone else says it... you'll need to post an asking price for everything, per forum rules. Even if it's a random number you make up.

This would be a nice upgrade but make sure your video card can drive it. I tried a UXGA LCD in a T40p with no luck - so I'd imagine you'd require a T41 or above. What a shame it won't work in my T40P. :cry:

Did you use a UXGA cable?

The upgrade topics says: swap both the LCD panel and cable!

I bought a T42P with a GPU problem, hoping to use the 15" UXGA screen and casework with my T40P mobo.

I transplanted the T40p mobo into the T42P case (including UXGA LCD and cable) . It booted but would not drive the display. I ended up getting a new T42P mobo from BobA on this forum - so now have a T40P and a T42P.

OK, i see, guess it might be a BIOS problem, i tried to upgrade a Dell D610 (SXGA+) to UXGA and had problems setting the display mode to 1600*1200.

Better stick to what has been proven to work according to the thread http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=47899

In addition to this i have upgraded my T43 X300 from SXGA+ to UXGA without problems.
