cmos battery

#1 Post by krcmd » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:12 am

1. does the computer draw more current from the cmos battery during boot?

2. why do all the posts say one can test the cmos battery just by measuring the voltage? Is the internal resistance of the battery immaterial for Li ion battery or for CMOS application?

3. are there other causes for losing minutes on the system clock?

Thanks

have a look at rkawakami's post here:

for one possible reason for #3 and a way to test it.
