X200 Connection difficulties: Access Connections

#1 Post by defatpm » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:15 pm

here is the problem:

It seems I had vista wireless managment and "access connections management" on at the same time and my connection would always fail 15-30 minutes into it. Access connections and windows network manager would crash and only way to restore connection was with a restart.

Now, if i DISABLE Auto Config WLAN -- The wireless radio will not power on no matter what. I click "power wireless radio on" and nothing happens. Intel diagnostics says that the "network adapter is disabled or not installed"

OR, if I enable Auto Config WLAN---internet works great! but "Access Connections" now can't manage my connection and system try icon giving me the choice to "power on wireless radio" still won't power on when i click to power it on.......but the wireless radio is actually on b/c the internet is working great!

What is the deal? How can I sort this mess out??

Some quick information:

Windows Vista Business
Intel WiFi Link 5100 : Driver Version 12.0.0.82
Access Connections : Version 4.52
Intel PROSet/ Wireless WiFi Software

Thanks!!!
