X300 and Adobe Creative Suite... CS3

#1 Post by TheBigHunt » Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:02 am

Hi there !

I've a X300 since one month, mount with a 64bit Vista Biz and i've try some intall of Adobe Creative Suite CS3 on it...

Each time, juste after the install, when i launch Photoshop, i've the grey background of PSP and nothing apear... freeze and i've to kill the process. Bridge and other Soft from the suite does same !

I've try several install, each time same. I've try it on Vista 32 bit, same...

I finaly use an old CS3 photoshop alone, not include in the suite and a photoshop.exe patch to avoid the register process... it work but for exemple, if i want to use bridge, i've to start PSP before, run Bridge from PSP... if i try to launch bridge directly without PSP in memory, nothing appear without a process named bridge.exe... sic...

Any one has idea ?

I use this suite on several laptop and desktop without any problems...

It's a really mystery !

Regards

I had a similar problem with my X300 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro. This is what I used to fix it:

Don't know if the same applies to CS3 but I think it's worth a try.

Hi, i can now start bridge alone...

It looks like working... Did you encounter some problems when you install CS3 on your X300 ?

Thanks

I only had problems with Adobe Acrobat. I don't have Adobe CS3 (I'm still using the old Adobe Photoshop CS). There's just something odd about the X300 specifically that keeps crashing the activation wizard. I never had any problems with Acrobat on any of my other Thinkpads.
