128 Memory for Thinkpad 600
I have a 128 memory stick taken from a 600x. Would it be of any use in a Thinkpad 600?
Your 600X uses PC100 or 100MHz memory, while the earlier 600 series machines use PC66 or 66MHz memory. Theoretically, a 100MHz module should siimply drop down to 66MHz and still work in a slower machine, but in actual practice some machines can be finicky and want only original PC66 memory modules. You can always just test it out.

All TP 600 and some early 600e have different memoryinterfaces than the newer 600e and 600x.
In only one slot PC100-modules will work - in the other slot only PC66-modules - if I'm right your module should only work in the slot to the rear of machine... check it out. To the front only PC66 modules will work - or will recognize with half capacity.
Max. memory in TP 600 and early 600e is
32MB PC66 on board
128MB PC66, low density (4 chips per side)
256MB PC100, low density (8 chips per side)
I think, one memory slot is shared with the on board memory in TP 600 and the early 600e.
