WTB 7200 RPM PATA for T41
I am looking for a preferrably new 7200 rpm disk (any capacity 60G, or over, that will work with the system) to replace the crashed one on my T41.
Since 7200 rpm 2.5" PATA HDD's have gone out of production some time ago (almost a year?), you are very unlikely to find a new such HDD. If of interest, e.g. check the recent threads Hitachi website - 7K100, 100 GB PATA HD is unavailable and Is PATA dead?.
I suggest that you consider the (used) 60 GB HDD for sale here on the Marketplace - just a few threads down
see: Hitachi 60gb 7200rpm IDE/PATA/ATA drive $75.00 shipped.

i have a 100gig one. i was using it in my old x31 when that died, and since i got a new laptop it uses sata so it has been sitting in an enclosure, rarely used.
i was thinking of keeping it cause it's not worth anything, but i guess it still is

And to round your options out, I have an 80GB Hitachi Travelstar 7200rpm PATA drive with warranty expiring in May 2010 available.
Pricing, let's see, the 60GB is $75, the 100GB is $130...the 80GB is $102.50 delivered - right in the middle.
If someone wants it, PM me.

Those who've offered drives, I'd recommend you start your own FS threads so that other members who may be interested in 7200rpm PATA drives can see them more readily. sparta.rising, if you'd like that FS thread unlocked, please let me know and I can unlock it for you.

OMG!! It's worth so much now??? I just sold one for $30 two months ago!!! I'm such an idiot!underclocker wrote:Pricing, let's see, the 60GB is $75
EDIT: I am not saying you guys are charging too much. I am just kicking myself for underselling. guardlights, if you feel that $75 for 60GB is worth it, please don't hesitate to buy one.

FYI, the OP informed me that he/she purchased drives a while back. This thread can probably be locked.
