Vertical Red line in LCD , T42p

Hi,

i did some weeks ago a reflow, and perfect..al fine no hang up...but last days i see a vertical red line in my lcd. What can be? like lcd screen dying?

any tip is really welcomed..thx!

Probably the LCD is dying ,i had this problem several times with different computers and i was trying to repair it but no way to repair it unless change the LCD
,the number of the lines will be increased one by one with the time ,so if you are under warranty go and they will change it

Either an LCD column driver has gone bad or a pin has lifted. Neither are worth repairing. You need a new LCD.
