Energizer Battery for T4x
Energizer Battery for T4x
while searching for thinkpad gear, i came across this T series battery by Energizer:
http://www.energizerbatteries.com/produ ... code=30638#
it runs for the same price as the IBM battery, maybe even a little bit more, but could it be any better than the original IBM battery? Does anyone have this battery?

IBM batteries are simple cells from Panasonic, Sanyo or Sony(Panasonic). The are inside the black plastic frame.
So, Energizer can play in the same league, or be even better, because they are a reputable battery firm.
They could use higher-powered battery cells than the original IBM packs, which would be very nice.
However, with my experience on the T2x series, I am sure that IBM will put in a tiny "fix" in the next BIOS upgrade that stops non-IBM batteries on the ThinkPad. Then you would have to buy the original IBM batteries (for an absurd price).
BTW: 3 years after the introduction of the T20, IBM suddenly offered a new BIOS for the T2x series, hinting to "battery problems fixed".
All cheap non-IBM batteries stopped working. IBM also removed the link to the old BIOS (which I had to get from another forum member).
So, either buy that battery and don't upgrade the BIOS or get an IBM battery. I recommend the former.
