I was keen to upgrade my current T22 processor to the Pentium III 1.0 Mhz.....will it fit?? Or will it get hot as well?

What processor do you have now in the T22? My T22 has a 900Mhz in it and it seems plenty fast. I would think a jump to 1Ghz would maybe not even be noticeable in normal use. Seems like a small gain when the mobo is limited to 100Mhz.

I would bet a faster HD would make a better upgrade. My T22 has a 4,200 rpm disk and a jump to 7,200 rpm would be significant.

Just my 0.02

I had a T22 a year or so ago that I did this upgrade to.
Had stability problems when a little warm, not sure if it was due to a lesser heatsink from the 900 (?) or the fact that the 1ghz P3s were pushing the thermal limits of the 100mhz bus P3 anyway, or both.
Anyway went back to the 900, better to have stablilty than to be a whisker faster but falling over all the time..... YMMV
