Somebody got a good eBay deal but it wasn't me...

Just thought I'd share this... I was in the middle of composing a post when my Palm Zire timer when off. I ignored it since I had about 8 minutes to get around to checking the eBay auction I was waiting on. (Yeah, I know - why bother setting an alarm if you're only going to diss it anyway? :) ). By the time I realized 15 minutes had gone by, I missed out on bidding on this:

256MB PC100 low density SODIMM for $15.15 shipped

It's a little bit more than the $14 Buy-it-Now I recently paid for one of the same, but it hurts nevertheless  . Yes it's one of the perils of manually sniping but I just couldn't see setting up an eSnipe bid for something this cheap. Anybody else got a tale of woe for Thinkpad-related deals that just slipped through your fingers?

Couple weeks back there was a post on Craig's List locally for an UXGA R50p for $200. No HD, but booted with a Live CD. I pulled up the posting while at work, but had to step away to help someone that came in before I could call the guy. Fifteen minutes later, I have a chance to call. He just got off the phone with someone who was going to pick it up tomorrow.
Cell phones are my specialty. Got questions? Ask away.

I forget about ebay actions all the time... its frustrating. You could use a snipe service, I use www.justsnipe.com occasionally.

As for missed cl opps, someone posted they had a thinkpad at a yardsale, I pulled up 15 minutes too late missing out on a working T41 for $50.
