X61t draw twice the power as x60s in sleep mode

#1 Post by coldfire » Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:10 pm

battery drop was measured in sleep mode.
x60s: L2400 (1.66GHz), 1.5GB
x61t: L7500 (1.6GHz), 4GB

1st result:
x60s 2.35Wh in 7h12m
x61t 4.85Wh in 8h04m

2nd result
x60s 3.48Wh in 11h22m
x61t 6.81Wh in 11h24m

Does this sound normal?

I think more RAM consumes more power, or so I've read somewhere.
X22 - 800mhz - 640MB RAM - 60GB Hitachi 7200rpm 7k100
X40 - 1.4ghz - 1.5GB RAM - 8GB Transcend 300x CF on Addonics CF/IDE Adapter
T42p - 1.8ghz - 15" UXGA - 1GB RAM - 160GB HDD
X61t - C2D 1.6ghz - 12.1" SXGA+ - 8GB RAM - Intel G3 300GB SSD
