Latest version of power manager messed up my computer

#1 Post by marlinspike » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:29 am

So I did the Thinkvantage updates and only selected the power manager update. Now my screen will randomly have these pink or yellow or cyan lines. They aren't in the same place of the screen. That is to say, if I have IE open and say an image has a pink line across it, and I scroll down, the pink line will move with the image, as if it was some sort of thing in the photo (it's not). Any idease?

BTW, if it helps, the monitor will be fine, and then the screen will blink when it finishes booting and the weird colors appear.

Well, maybe it was just a coincidence, I don't know. Restoring the defaults to my video driver fixed it.

Check the text narrative file for the PM utility... there are some pre-requiste ThinkVantge utilities you also need to have installed. If you have those installed you should not have any display issues.

Cheers,
