X60 modem/bluetooth/PCI Device problem (resolved w/solution)

#1 Post by m509272 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 2:12 pm

Hi,

Just had my company but their standard XP build on another disk for my X60. With my original hard drive I do not have any device issues. With their build I'm missing my modem and bluetooth devices and I have an unknown PCI Device listed.

The PCI device is PCI\VEN8086&DEV_27D8&SUBSYS_201017AA

When I try to install the modem driver it says the device isn't there. I presume I'd have the same problem with bluetooth. Everything else seems fine. Maybe there's a prerequisite driver missing?

Any ideas?

Reply to myself. Audio driver was missing. You first need to install Microsoft KB888111, then the audio driver. Then the modem shows up and then you can install the bluetooth driver
