How do I make my T41p recognize my 2nd HD???

I finally got around to installing my 2nd Hitachi 60GB drive in my Ultrabay Slim adapter. I've swapped it into my T41p (removing my CD-R drive).

Now what? The WindowsXP device manager shows the 2nd drive but the OS itself does not see it, all I have is my C drive still.

The drive is enabled, there are no conflicts. I've tried looking at all the IBM diagnostic tools, its enabled but nothing is showing up?

It doesn't appear that it needs any drivers.

I thoght of running WindowsXP setup to see if I could partition it but of course that is not possible because I cannot have my CD drive in use at the same time.

Can you partition and format the drive in Systems Management Services?

How do I find System Management Services? I guess that's an app but I am not familiar with it? Is it default installed on my T41p?

Right click on "My Computer" and then left click on "Manage".

Oh that, yes I found that and it shows up there. I was wondering where that went, I hadn't used it in years.

So everything is cool, I was able to format it from there. We'll see now but it should show up fine after this.
