Which OS-X to get for 2623 T60?

#1 Post by kevlo911 » Fri Sep 12, 2008 3:06 pm

I see many types of os-x's out there.

Leo4all
iAtkos
Jas
Kalyway
ect...

Which one would be best for me? I have a 2623-D6U.. I have the intel 3945(which is not working YET on osx from what I see), x1300 vid card(which does work somehow?) and I do not know what sound card.

I want to have XP and OS-x so I am going to upgrade my HD to a 160-320gig SATA hd.

Also, will this card work to replace my 3945? http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-ThinkPad-MINI-P ... .m20.l1116

Any downsides? Anyone have the ibm/lenovo service link to take apart the laptop? I can't find it some reason.

Anything else I should know?

I have a same model and installed iDeneb 10.5.5. I replaced intel 3945 with Atheros card and it works.

I did not choose any patch for ATI in customizing option in iDeneb 10.5.5. What I had to do to get QE/CI support for ATI X1300 is modifying Info.plist in ATIRadeonX1000.kext and removing all the ATIRadeonX2000 kexts.

The all options I checked are

- PowerManagementBundle
- Audio -> AppleAzaliaAudio
- Chipset -> ICHxFixed
- Network -> Ethernet -> Intel 100Pro VE
-> Wireless -> Atheros Wifi Adapter
.

Except sleep, mic and some mouse tearing, all functions work.
