X300/X301 warranty

Hi, I am about to order the x301, but there is still one point that makes me hesitate: I will be moving to Europe (Germany that is to be more specific) in May next year and I am kind of worried about warranty (knowing that notebook repair costs often outweigh the actual value of the machine). So I just talked to a guy at the Lenovo hotline and he said that there is no information concerning the international warranty for the X301 in his system yet (fair enough...).
When I asked him how warranty is handled with the X300 he said that there is no warranty service for Germany with that one - I absolutely can't believe that Lenovo sells this business grade laptops without any options for for that at all...
I still hope that the guy from the hotline was kind of uninformed and that there is a way to get warranty for Germany...
So, do you know of a way to get European/German warranty covered?

a 6478 X300 is covered but the IWS page says that the 2777 X301 is not.   chances are that it's simply not in the system yet.
