Cheapest place to get a dock for T400?

I didn't order a dock with my T400 (which is still on the way - hopefully it gets here soon, Lenovo gave it to UPS on September 6 and it still isnt' here ), and I have an aunt coming up from the States in November, so I was wondering whether there were some cheaper sellers than I could find on Froogle/eBay.

For the essential port replicator, the lowest price I found on eBay for Buy It Now auctions was $65 USD + shipping (~$10 from NC to my aunt in CA)

For the advanced mini-dock, the lowest price I found on eBay for Buy It Now was $110 USD + shipping (same seller, approximately same shipping cost.)

I would like the advanced mini-dock, but I'm only losing DVI and audio passthrough (at least those are the ones that are important to me.) Has anyone tried the T400's video quality through both docks and noticed a big difference using VGA or DVI with a LCD? (Answer will probably be "yes", but I'm already limited in budget because of the cost of the T400 (I'm an unemployed high school student))

Please help me decide between the two! (Cost is a gigantic factor)

I've tried both docks, but not with a T400 (guess that means I am poorer than a student . The difference is there, but it's marginal on a good LCD. The picture is slightly clearer on DVI. This is from experience with every model T6X model out there on both docks.

I can also confirm VGA on T60+dock is pretty clear (1920x1200). Difference between VGA and DVI was about as between ClearType on WinXP switched on and off.
However someone reported lower quality VGA output on his T400. It's too early to tell whether it's common problem or not.

That means it's a short 30 minute to 1.5 hour trip away (depends on how bad the traffic is... and how fast the driver is...)

Well, today or tomorrow is perfectly fine. I can't wait anymore, after putting up with my Latitude D600 for ... over half a year now. The keyboard can't possibly be flexier than this, as it's screwed down in two places and has maybe six points to secure it in TOTAL.

The anticipation is killing me - it's my first new computer in quite a while. (And I've been waiting since August 20!)

Hi,

I managed to find a new open box Advanced Dock (the big one ) on ebay for $175 so I took it!


It'll get here much before my T400 though... I just hope i'll get it this month
