x200 WLAN vs WWAN Radios

#1 Post by brucewilsonpa » Thu Sep 18, 2008 10:21 am

Question about x200 WIFI vs WWAN radios --

Does the x200 have separate radios for the WIFI and WWAN? In other words is it possible to operate both at once? I'm asking because one of my reasons for replacing my Sony is that it shares a radio between them so I have to keep switching from WIFI to WWAN and back as I am in or away from areas where I have WIFI. If the x200 has this same feature I'll pass it up.

Thanks!

Yes the radios and antenna are separate. You can use both at the same time.

I would tend to agree but when I click on the WAN then WiFi buttons The WAN shuts off and the WiFi button is off. But the indicater still shows the WiFi on. When I click the All Off button the indicator turns off finally.

Also, I was wondering why on the X200T we can't use both...i.e. GPS enabler and Google maps. If you could use both on the X200 that would be a benefit.
