I just downloaded the drivers and installed on my T41.
It works greate on the T41 as well (2379-DJU model) and drives my dell 2000FP at 1600x1200 via DVI
It was pretty easy to create a new configuration using the "Presentation Director", I will list out the steps here in case any one needs them
Start the "Presentation Director" by pressing "Fn+F7" on the laptop keyboard.
Choose "Manage Schemes..."
Create a "New" scheme
Select "External Device" only in the top checkbox.
Select "Output to both a VGA device and a DVI device"
On the next page
Select Resoultion as "1600 x 1200 (UXGA)", Color Quality "Highest (32 bit) and Refresh Rate "60 Hz".
Select "Display Device for Movie Playback" as "DVI"
The options on the next 2 pages can be left unchecked and then name the new scheme and you should be done.
Next time when you select the "Fn+F7" from the laptop, this option should be part of the list
