Does Lenovo Charge Sales Tax on Directly Shipped Items?

#1 Post by hesh.nosaff » Fri Sep 19, 2008 10:18 pm

This may be a silly question. I need to prepare a budget for the X200's I want to buy (now that the international warranty issue has been cleared) but I am not sure whether sales tax will be added.

are you buying them from the US or singapore?   if in the US, you'll pax sales tax in every state except oregon and alaska.   oregon doesn't have state sales tax and lenovo doesn't have an entity in alaska.

Buying in the U.S. Oh well. I suppose we need to pay for the rescue of all of those investment banks.. :)
Thanks.

If you purchased through a third party vendor of Lenovo products located outside your state, you typically would not need to pay sales tax.
