T40 & Update Connector v6.1

Has anyone had any success getting this program to work?

I can get past the stage where it contacts the 'IBM Help Center' but then when it tries to check for updates it just 'stalls' and stays at the same percentage nomatter how long I leave it on for (all night last night for instance).

Any insight into what might make this work would be greatly appreciated.

I never get past the "Gathering Information" screen. Is it down for everyone now?

An Interesting thing about Update Connector

Check your System Event Viewer logs for Service Control Manager Errors, specifically EventID 7000: The PMEM service failed to start..." Apparently this is part of the Update Connector Program and likely explains why UC isn't working. A google groups search yielded this:
