Re-partitioning X200 as long as have Vista/XP media

#1 Post by Perchik » Wed Sep 24, 2008 3:35 pm

Hello,

I have recently purchased X200 w/ Vista Buss64 on 64gig SD and found out about the "recovery" partition and recovery/downgrade process.

Here is my question:
As long as I have the media CD (ie. Windows Vista Business 64) can i blow away the recovery partition (for linux install) and should I need to go back to vista just reinstall it w/ the code from the bottom of the computer?

anotherwords, do I need to waste HD space for recovery?

Thank you kindly.

Greetings:

Based on http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=144783 you should be able to do so.

Thank you.
