power manager problem

#1 Post by shinigami7th » Thu Sep 25, 2008 4:34 am

i have this problem with disappearing battery meter gauge whenever i restarted my explorer.exe.... i noe that restarting explorer.exe is a rare incident, but when it happens, i don't want to restart my computer juz to show the battery gauge.... i'm not sure whether this problem happens only in T400 (this is my first thinkpad), so i juz post it here, ok?

any ideas?

Reading your post I assume you have Vista. Your observation is not T400-specific, it applies to all ThinkPad users with Vista installed on their machines. The only solution I´m aware of is unfortunately restarting your system. You can try disabling and then enabling the battery gauge from within power manager, but I don´t believe it would help any further as I have never had luck with that.

Hello,

that seems not a Vista 32 or T400 specific problem,
At my R60, XPSP3 powermanager V. 1.30b, it is the same,
but I do not often restart my taskmanager, cause no problems. 8)

This could be quite annoying...
