Is this normal

#1 Post by kpinitreal » Tue Sep 30, 2008 12:59 pm

Hi,
Just a quick inquiry.

Upgraded with mods from Zender ( T61, 2.19 7LETB0WW 2.19-1.08 ) and have a quick question.
Since the upgrade all has gone well and have not noticed any other problems with the exception of one issue.

After each power up it takes about 3-5 minutes before my Intel 533AN_MMW mini PCIe card is turned on. After it comes on I have no issues whatsoever.

Has anyone that has a T61p, that has upgraded with Zender's mods experience this?
TIA for any assistance that can be provided.

I don't have any eperiance, but I do have some input. You may want to note your OS, there a big difference between operating systems, especially with something like this. Where Zender is a BIOS's mod, it also might be the problem. Try disabling and re-enabling the card in the OS. If that works, you may be able to use a command at boot to start it.

thanks for the answer but just how would I do that.

I mean after it starts up, like I said before, I can disable and enable it with no problem using either the windows command or the Fn F5 keys. I thought that it was take the same amount of time to restart but it does not hang at all.
So the problem only occurs when the computer is booting.

Hope that clears it up more.
