Received ThinkPad X200, now how to get rid of bloatware?

#1 Post by dynamicnet » Tue Sep 30, 2008 1:35 pm

Greetings:

I'm happy to have received my ThinkPad X200, but I've run into two issues:

1. I was not asked to create any recovery CD's during the installation run of Microsoft Vista 64. Is there a way to go back and do that?

2. The system came with an opportunity to use a trial of Microsoft Office and McAfee; how do I remove those products?

Thank you.

Isn't there an option in Lenovo predesktop area (or whatever it is called now) to do system reinstallation without them ? Because removing monsters like Microsoft Office is practically impossible.

Greetings:

I don't see that option, but then I didn't pick them during the set up.

Thank you.

Try use Decrapifier. I haven't used it as I just re-install the OS, but ppl recommend this.
