Nice find, especially the X31. I love craigslist, especially when its from a business because they usually don't want much per machine and have lots.

edit: Shouldn't the X31 in your list say PM not P4?

Good catch, didn't even think about it.

Just picked these up an hour ago. Guy had an A30 he threw in too, supposedly has issues. They're all in awesome shape, just need to source some HD caddies. Got 1 60GB and 3 40GB drives with it. The guy has a ton of equiment from a company that went out of business.

Do they all post (excluding the A30)?

All five post and boot to BIOS. The A30 will post, but the display goes black after a few seconds.

The X31 is a bottom of the barrel trim level (2672 B2U) but is in amazing cosmetic shape. All the T23s have good specs (1.13GHZ CPUs) and two have wireless.

All the screens are XGA. Wasn't expecting anything more there.

I'd never seen an X series in person before today. I may keep one of them, simply because I neved realized how tiny they were. That would be more convenient my unlocking business than toting my beast (T42p) around.

I'm off to the marketplace to locate some parts.

I've always been wary of CL. A place where you can pick up a hooker, never seemed the best place to obtain merchandise.

How does one arrange the average transaction? If it's local, do you just meet up at a park or something? (Still sounds like that other type transaction) :D

Depends on the deal. Usually just a common public place. This guy has a storage business and acquired a ton of computer equipment. He was selling it off in groups. I went to his storage office and checked everything out.

No hookers involved, at least this time :D

I buy and sell a lot on craigslist and while I've met some strange people, nothing shady has every happened. When I'm selling I always meet people at a cafe or food court. Try and do the same unless they are a business.

Its only really affective if you are in a densely populated area, near a big city (like Boston). When I lived in Illinois the local craigslist was pretty dead.

Sounds like the wiring for the backlight of the A30 is bad.

I stand corrected. The machine boots fine, just with vertical blue lines every 1/2" or so. GPU? Or screen? I would guess it's the GPU.

I assume you're talking about the A30, yes? Repeating vertical lines could be the GPU, the ribbon cable or the panel itself.

That's what I've been finding after reading some older threads. I'll try reseating the cable and checking the cable for damage. Beyond that, I'll sell it for parts. Not worth it for me to work on
