warranty issues

#1 Post by Lokar » Wed Jan 05, 2005 3:57 pm

hello
i have a general question about the warranty. i want to buy a t42 with a 4 year warranty on parts and labour from ibm.
therefore i have some questions about this warranty:

-how many dead pixels are needed to make the laptop a warranty issue?

-when i purchase the laptop in the usa can i then also bring the laptop to a ibm service in europe if needed?

-can i exchange the keyboard without loosing the warranty ?
(i want to change the language settings)

thanks for your answers

With regards to dead/stuck pixels - if you buy direct from IBM you can return the unit within 30 days. If you buy from Bill Morrow he can cherry pick you a perfect unit :)

Anyone else... read their return policy very carefully.
