The internal bluetooth on my t42p, previously working, no longer works. Symptoms:
1) In My Bluetooth Places, if I click on the Bluetooth Setup Wizard, I get a "no local bluetooth device was detected" error.
2) Right-click on the bluetooth tray icon gives "Bluetooth Device not found"
3) The Bluetooth configuration panel, hardware tab: "Bluetooth Device is Not Detected"
BUT
4) In device manager, I see:
Bluetooth Radios:
IBM Integrated Bluetooth III
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
Network Adapters:
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #3
Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #3
Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver
Ports (COM & LPT)
Bluetooth Communications Port (COM10)
Bluetooth Communications Port (COM11)
Standard Serial over Bluetooth link (COM15)
Standard Serial over Bluetooth link (COM16)
I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling these, I've also tried reinstalling the bluetooth software from Lenovo (last update 2004, was all I could find).
Both the Bluetooth Service and Bluetooth Support Service are on. This is Windows XP.
Help!
no local bluetooth device was detected
