Is my X61s with PCMCIA or ExpressCard???

#1 Post by ComputerMinder » Wed Oct 01, 2008 4:55 pm

Silly question, but I didn't find a definite answer. And since I need to order some hardware without being able to test that it fits the machine, I have to be sure which version to get.

I have X61s (7666-83G)

I need to be 100% sure. One place I read it's an ExpressCard slot, other place I read it's a PCMCIA

The card I need states the following as minimum requirements:

Card Slot: ExpressCard/34/54

Would that fit in my X61s (7666-83G) ? Or should I buy a the the PCMCIA version to be on the safe side?

Thanks

all X6x machines are cardbus.   expresscards won't work.

TAbook seems to say that there is an adapter available for a 34mm express card.
