4 in 1 Ricoh Cardreader

#1 Post by lazi0 » Wed Oct 01, 2008 5:08 pm

Hi, I got Thinkpad R61, with a cardreader 4 in 1 from Ricoh, unfortunatelly eventhout that the Device manager reiterates that I have installed the driver correctly, the cardreader DOES NOT detect any card at all...(no matter if I try SD, MMC or s Memory Stick..

Can anyone give me some possible solution?
Thanks in advance !!!

You didn't say what operating system you were using but your Ricoh probably isn't fully supported in XP and certainly not in Vista.
I only found drivers for Win 2K.

Maybe this thread has some useful info. Apparently, there are some issues with reading/writing higher capacity cards.

I am running XP SP3 , and the cardreader is not recognizing even minor 512MB-cards...

Try uninstalling the driver, reboot and let Windows discover the card reader again. See whether this helps.
