T41 Shuts down when usb cell phone modem is disconected

Want to get peoples input on this problem. This T41 runs fine,but I have had it shut completly down. I mean DEAD no lights at all. when I disconect my treo cell phone I use as a modem tether to the laptop. It will only power up if I completly disconect everything and plug in the AC adapter back in. Then it will power back up. Give me some ideas on this Thanks!

Did you have other usb problems? Like 1.1 speed transfer instead of 2.0?

Is this a Windows or Palm based Treo? If it's Windows based, are you using Internet Sharing or another method?
