SOLD: Very nicely equipped T43 in near perfect condition still under warranty until June 14, 2009! This is an Intel GPU model which means no future issues with loose ATI GPU.

The machine is near perfect, it looks new - barely any wear or scuffs on any of the plastics. The LCD is bright with no dead pixels. This machine has very good spec's. The original IBM 3 year warranty expires on June 14, 2009.

*Image links removed*

This machine does not come with the fingerprint reader but fully supports the upgrade by just swapping the palm rest assembly. (The motherboard and ultrabay drive cage are the correct parts to accept the fingerprint palm rest.)

$400 including insured delivery in the U.S. ($380 in person, local transaction.) PayPal, USPS money order or cash accepted. Full spec.'s with mod.'s below.

I'm just curious - why did you swap the HDD with the same sized slower one and why would that be an advantage? I'm still learning about these systems...
T30 2366-61U dead mobo
T30 2366-81U still works but not being currently used. I think I'll rectify that situation.
T40 2373-19U dead
(2) T42 2373-JXU with Flexview LCDs. One with either GPU or southbridge issue.
T43 2687-D4U with possible software problem. Awaiting R&Rs.

I can't speak for underclocker but I generally find slower working drives to be an advantage to faster broken ones nearly 100% of the time. :)
YMMV
T60p/x32/t42p/a31p and about 100 more 8)

TTA pretty much nailed it. When I bought the machine, that is what the owner had installed. I don't know what happened to the faster drive.

Advantage of faster drive - speed.
Benefits of slower drive - less noise, less heat, improved battery life???
