The display quality might be better than X300 one :-)

I too would like some opinions. Sis wants one of these.

I bought one and I have to say that in the past week of using it, I've gotten non-stop compliments and looks of amazement of everyone who's seen it. Aesthetics wise, I think it is the best looking netbook out there.

Performance wise, it is quite fast and can easily handle all your web-browsing needs such as youtube, emails, streaming live videos, etc. Futhermore, I've been running Office 2007 with no problem with uTorrent running in the background. Thus, multi-tasking with the S10 is quite easy and fast no slow-downs at all. I'm very surprised with the real-world performance of the 1.6Ghz Atom proc.

The S10 is super light and anyone who picks it up is astounded... not sure why tho? Maybe they've never seen a netbook in person.

Build quality is the best I've seen on any netbook with a solid screen and hinges. Also, connecting it to a monitor is easy. When I get home, just plug into my 24inch widescreen, no issues at all.

Now that I have the S10, I haven't even touched my 14.1" T43 (too heavy!!)

All in all, a great purchase. No regrets at all... except that maybe I waited too long to buy one. Should have gotten one when it first came out.

how is the battery life on your s10?

also, i've read the s10 becomes rather hot.

would you share you experiences with two characteristics?

much obliged.

In my experience, battery life usually runs around 3.5 hours (that's with screen at 50% with wifi on and running firefox as well as Word). It can definitely last me through 2 classes or more (1.5 hour each). In terms of temperature, I would say that the S10 is much cooler than my previous T43. Not hot at all, even after hours and hours of use.
