X200t config questions - screen and cpu

#1 Post by uwphysmed » Fri Oct 03, 2008 4:06 pm

While I await the release of the x200t here in Canada (and begin to dread whatever ridiculous markup they'll apply), I'm stuck deciding on 2 options:

* The ULV (1.2) or LV (1.8) processor choice - is there anyplace where the head-to-head battery life changes between these two has been compared? That's my primary concern with this tablet, the most high-performance thing I'd ever do is watch a blueray or the like, so I'd tend to lean to the ULV. But if the difference is insignificant, faster is better...

* Touch screen or standard. I'm sold on LED backlighting, but how useful is the touchscreen feature? I can't find any review of it yet (all the regular places seem to have been sent a standard input version), but I'd assume it'll be similar to that offered on the X61t. This will be my first tablet here, so I'm looking for input from those who've used both...

Having used the X61T (MT/MV and SuperView) and the X200T MT I can say having dualinput is handy.

Sometimes you just don't want to take the pen out, and just browse trough a menu or something. Also, I liked the viewingangles on the X200t, almost as good as my MT/MV S-IPS X61 pannel.

Yes... I love the X-series.

does the x200t offer a screen with 1440x900 like the X61T? That's what I currently have and LOVE it, but would like something a tiny bit faster....

thanks
