USB flash drive sluggish problem in Vista SP1

#1 Post by milstein » Mon Oct 06, 2008 10:30 am

Hi all,

I have a problematic USB flash issue on my computer:
USB flash drive runs well in safe mode
However, in normal mode, after a 10 seconds to 40 seconds period of plugging in the flash drive, the flash drive will become usably sluggish.
I cannot effectively locate (with just tasklist utilities) what services / processes that are triggered by the USB flash plugging in is/are causing the problem. I am wondering if I can use the event log of Vista, or some other ways to locate the source of this problem?

Thanks in advance!

truk, thanks for your thought about syncing, that maybe related, but if that's due to some syncing software / service, that must be the very basic syncing services / processes that were causing the problem. Please take a lot at my reply on x6x tablet forum
Thanks!
