The current version of the Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software for Windows XP (Version: 5.5.0.4300 - Dated: 2008/08/25) notes that it "Does not support Enhanced Data Rate due to the Hardware restriction" for T61 systems while a prior version (Version: 5.1.0.4700 - Dated: 2008/06/23) has no such indication.
In addition, both drivers are listed on the current drivers page when I load in my machine type: 7664-16U. Should I go ahead and use the latest version of the driver (and assume the compatibility note is incorrect) or should I load the older version to be certain I'm getting the most out of my hardware? Any help, thoughts, or advice is appreciated.

same question
Yes, i was just wondering the same thing this evening. For now, I am not going to fix it if it is not broken, but the documentation (such as you have described) is certainly not clear.
