IBM New THinkpad Startup Guide

Let's make a start up guide of what to when you get it

1) Check for deadpixles/thai keyboard
2) Burn a copy of recovery
3) Enroll fingers if applicable
4) ...?

If you don't mind me hijacking your thread slightly, what is so nifty about this Thai keyboard and how do you know if you got one? Thanks
Have used just about every ThinkPad since the T42 days...

I believe that the only way to see if you have a Thai keyboard or not is to remove the keyboard. You can check how to remove the keyboard at

But what is so special about it? It seems pretty highly desired....

with all due respect many of these things are or are intended to be limited to t series such as burning rec, checking finger prints so if it could be moved back there please ir not thanks anways that's cool.

5) set up ibm connections
6) set up missing windwos key
7) run a diag??
