MXP -> USD Currency. Would it go down?

#1 Post by agarza » Fri Oct 10, 2008 5:27 pm

After the economical situation on the USA a single US dolar has become more expensive to exchange:

Before:
1 USD = 10.80 MXP (Mexican Pesos)

After the depression:
1 USD = 13.8 MXP

I'm wondering whether to wait by the end of the year to buy some electronic stuff (Playstation 3, 320GB Hitachi HDD for my T61, etc), but can't find any info if the dollar would be 'cheaper' to trade.
Current
T440p:
Core i7-4710MQ|8GB RAM|Intel SSD S3700 200GB | 14.1" IPS FHD | Windows 7 Pro, T450 Trackpad, Backlit keyboard, 2nd Caddy
Past: T420 HD+, X61s XGA, T61 14" SXGA+, T42p 14.1 SXGA+, T30, A22e

The global economy is in for a very rough ride in financial terms for at least the next year and possibly much longer.

However bad it looks from your point of view right now, its probably going to get worse not better in the short to medium term.

USD has also been rising against CAD (up to 1.17 now), which confuses me mildly. If anyone has insight about possible values and timeframes of a local maximum, I'd be interested to hear it...
